Udaan, the E-cell at FIIB believes that, if India is to be a developed nation and to become a global super power, it needs to facilitate investments in socially, financially and technologically sustainable entrepreneurial ventures.  To promote this belief and vision, Udaan organizes a pan-India Business Plan Competition - Merakieach year.

Meraki is an initiative by Udaan, to give students a platform for their business ideas. As part of Meraki, top venture capitalists of the country will be sharing their experiences and hearing B-Plan pitch of students’ from across India.

In 2012, the competition was open to students from all post-graduate and under-graduate colleges across India, with a fellowship of Rs. 1,00,000 and 75,000 for the top two winners. Meraki 2012 received participations from 84 colleges in India including top institutes like IIT Kharagpur, Department of Management Studies - IIT Delhi, IIM Bangalore, IIM Indore, IIFT, NITIE, BITS Pilani, IMT Ghaziabad, St.Stephen’s College, SRCC and many more.

In 2013, we have added an additional fellowship for Rs. 60,000 and have partnered with leading private and public institutions that support, guide and nurture young entrepreneurs. On behalf of Udaan – E-Cell at FIIB, we would like to invite you to participate in our upcoming annual event Meraki on 15th and 16th of March 2013.

Event Guidelines:

• Participation open to all Graduate and Under-graduate Colleges in India
• Register in team of not more than 5 (same institute) at http://www.fiib.edu.in/meraki by 1st February, 2013
• All B-Plans will need to be presented to a jury consisting of angel investors and venture capitalists
• First Prize: INR 1,00, 000
• Second Prize: INR 75,000
• Third Prize: INR 60,000
