Report on The Corporate Suave

To everyone's delight, the commerce society, Hans Raj College comes up with another innovation!
We are glad to inform, organise and host monthly events from now on.
The first being The Corporate Suave.

Sept 25, Tuesday
01.00pm

The first monthly event by the commerce society, led by the secretary- Arunima Chandel and the joint secretary- Ishita Bansal. The organising team comprised of 5 first year members. 40 students from the commerce department participated. The event consisted of 2 rounds : The Big Buzz, a written questionnaire of 15 mind striking questions, to check the general awareness, the business quotient and an idea of the surroundings we stay in and come across everyday. It tested how much attention we pay to little details that might appear insignificant, but actually take us a long way.

Few of the questions included were
1. The Brand Ambassador of WagonR
2. The successor of Warren Buffet
3. The mascot for 7Up
4. The closing points of Sensex the day before
5. The auditor of Satyam at the time of the crisis
and many more...

They were wittily designed and let people think their minds out.. 10 lucky students qualified for the second round : Step in the Shoe. The second round checked the confidence, sharpness and the ability to be corporate savvy. The student had 2 bowls to pick up names from. 1 consisted of the names of eminent personalities and the other of renowned corporate houses. The participant needed to step in the shoes of the personality and derive out a plan in accordance of the company allotted, in such a way that it benefits the both and is most feasible and suitable. The best plan and presentation were to be awarded the first and second prizes respectively.

The combinations that came out were very interesting and listened to.
The judge for this round was Ms. Sneha Suri, our convenor, who not only appreciated the talent and presentation, but also brought out key points; and Waras Singh, a society member.

WINNERS :
I. Ekansh Khatter ( year II)
II. Pranjal (Year I)

We congratulate the winners and participants, and hope for more successful events in the future.
